Hello! I am Stacy and have almost 20 years of counseling experience to people of all ages across the lifespan. I have worked with a variety of people, with different circumstances and needs, in a variety of settings, including community mental health and schools.
As a spouse to a first responder, and sister to an Army combat veteran, I have a deeper understanding to the unique challenges and stresses that come with these high stress careers. I have a passion for supporting and providing treatment to first responders, dispatchers, correctional officers, military, and their spouses.
Trauma trained and Certified Therapist in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), I provide specialized treatment to individuals (child to adult) dealing with recent or historical trauma.
I am actively accepting clients for individual therapy who reside in Arizona and Virginia. You can get in touch with me by using the convenient online form here, or you may locate my contact information at the bottom of each page. I look forward to hearing from you!

More about my background
Education and Background
I grew up and lived most of my life in a small town in northeast Tennessee. In 2003, I received my B.S. in Psychology from Radford University in Virginia. After a brief break, I entered Graduate school at East Tennessee State University and received my Masters in Counseling in 2007. Eventually I obtained my License in Professional Counseling in 2014, from the state of Virginia. During the same time, I became EMDR trained and found a passion for helping others move beyond their trauma. I have worked with children as young as 2 years old to senior adults, addressing minor needs to more severe mental health and substance use disorders. My career has taken me from community mental health, to school systems, to crisis and rehabilitation, to private practice – making me a well-rounded and trained Counselor.
In 2020, amidst the pandemic, I chose to uproot my life and find a new home in Arizona to be closer to family. I continue to provide counseling to Virginia residents via telehealth, as well as the whole state of Arizona. In-person sessions may be offered for Yuma, AZ residents if appropriate, and at my discretion – inquire for more information.

My hobbies and interests
Self-care is a crucial part of living a healthy, happy life. Exercising is one of my primary ways to practice self-care and relieve stress. Whether it’s weightlifting, playing pickleball, practicing Yoga, or out in nature exploring the world around me, I feel so much better physically, mentally and emotionally when I am done.
Photography is another interest of mine. Throughout my website you will see many of my own images captured during some of my hikes.
