Hello! I am Stacy and have almost 20 years of counseling experience to people of all ages across the lifespan. I have worked with a variety of people, with different circumstances and needs, in a variety of settings, including community mental health and schools.
As a spouse to a first responder, and sister to an army combat veteran, I have a deeper understanding to the unique challenges and stresses that come with these high stress careers. I have a passion for supporting and providing treatment to first responders, dispatchers, correctional officers, military, and their spouses.
As a trauma trained and certified EMDR therapist, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing, I provide specialized treatment to individuals dealing with current or historical trauma.
I am also trained in Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT), which specializes in developing, strengthening, and/or healing the bond between the parent/guardian and their young child. This type of treatment also teaches parents how to manage unwanted behavior and communication issues.
I am actively accepting clients for individual or parent-child therapy who reside in Arizona, Virginia, and Pennsylvania. I look forward to hearing from you! You can get in touch with me by using the convenient online form here, or you may locate my contact information at the bottom of each page.

More about my background
Education and Background
I grew up and lived most of my life in a small town in northeast Tennessee. I attended Radford University in Radford, Virginia and in 2003, received my B.S. in Psychology. I continued my education by earning a M.A. in Counseling from East Tennessee State University in 2007, followed by a License in Professional Counseling from the state of Virginia by 2014. As stated above, I have worked with children as young as 2 years old to adults over 70 years of age, addressing minor needs to more severe mental health and substance use disorders. I have experience working with individuals, couples, families, groups, and even school systems.
In 2020, I made the brave decision to move to Arizona where I currently practice counseling. I can also provide counseling to clients located in Virginia via telehealth. In-person sessions may be offered for Yuma, AZ residents if appropriate, and at my discretion.

My hobbies and interests

Self-care is a crucial part of living a healthy, happy life. Exercising is one of my primary ways to practice self-care and relieve stress. Whether it’s weightlifting, riding my bike, playing pickleball, or out in nature exploring the world around me, I feel so much better physically, mentally and emotionally when I am done.
Photography is another interest of mine. Throughout my website you will see many of my own images captured during some of my hikes.
